Website policies
The plain-language commitments behind every ForgeFlo website. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you purchase — these terms are meant to be read, not buried.
What counts as a revision
Every new website includes one free revision before purchase. A revision is a set of changes to the website you previewed: wording, photos, colours, section layout, contact details, or swapping content between pages.
A revision is not a new website. Changing the business, starting over with a different design, or adding pages and features beyond what was quoted is new work — we will always tell you before anything becomes billable. After your site is live, further changes can be made under a hosting & care plan or quoted individually.
Website ownership
Until you purchase, the preview website remains ForgeFlo’s property and stays on a private preview address. Once your payment completes, the website is yours: the design, the code and the content we produced for you. Your business information, photos and logo were always yours.
We keep a copy so we can host, restore and support your site, and we may show the finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Export & transfer
Your website is a portable, standard static website — no proprietary builder lock-in. On request we provide a full export of your site files and a complete export of your data (form submissions, appointment requests and newsletter signups) as JSON, along with a ready-to-use database schema and instructions for running everything elsewhere.
Exports are free for site files and data. If you want us to handle a migration to another host for you, we will quote that work first.
Hosting cancellation
Hosting & care is billed monthly and you can cancel at any time — there is no minimum term. When you cancel, your site stays live until the end of the period you have paid for, and we provide your full site export so you can host it anywhere.
We do not delete anything the day you cancel: your files and data remain exportable for 90 days after your hosting ends.
Domain ownership
If you purchase a custom domain (for example yourbusiness.ca), it is registered to you — you are the owner, and you keep it even if you stop working with us. If we register it on your behalf, we transfer control to you on request at no charge.
Free preview addresses (subdomains of our preview domain) belong to ForgeFlo and exist so you can review your site before it goes live; they are not part of the purchased website.
Refunds
You only pay after you have seen your finished website and approved it, so refunds are rarely needed. If something goes wrong on our side — your paid website never goes live — you get a full refund.
If your site is live and you are unhappy within the first 7 days, contact us: we will fix the problem or work out a fair resolution. Monthly hosting fees already paid for a started month are not refunded when you cancel, but nothing further is charged.
